Completed detailed structural analysis of the electric motor and it's associated systems. Also analyzed market feasibility, developing the company website, promotional material, pitch decks, and formed relationships with industry.
Performed detailed FEA on critical subsystems using ANSYS.
Conducted structural analysis of the entire motor assembly.
Designed and validated a single sided composite axle and bearing support system using MATLAB, ANSYS, and SolidWorks.
Developed a suite of professional CAD Renders used in technical documentation and promotion.
Formed key partnerships with several manufacturing companies and industry professionals.

Newfoundland Power (Fortis Inc.)
Engineering Co-op Student
Worked closely with the Power Distribution Engineering team at Newfoundland Power. During my time there I was heavily involved with the Water Street Infrastructure Replacement Project.
Developed a new standard of representation in AutoCAD Electrical for existing previously undocumented electrical feeders in ducts.
Conducted load analysis using CYME to evaluate existing networks as well as plan and design for expansions.
Designed an apparatus to inspect and document the underground network of cables with a GoPro while streaming the video live to the surface for quick and safe inspection.
Used digital stitching software to combine multiple photos and videos of manholes into one image in order to trace cables.
Produced a suite of job orders, cable routing diagrams, and manhole photos for over 30 manholes and made them available online to all employees through a GIS interface.
Developed roadwork procedures to allow for same-day access to manholes in the event of an emergency.
Made recommendations in a presentation to the executive board of directors at Newfoundland Power for the future of the Water Street Infrastructure Replacement Project.
